Tesla Employee Threatening To Kill Elon Musk And Joe Biden

According to a report by Fox News, a Tesla employee from Minnesota, United States, was arrested in Texas after he allegedly threatened to kill US President Joe Biden and billionaire Elon Musk.

On Tuesday Justin McCauley, 31, posted on X that he was “planning to kill” Mr Biden, Mr Musk, their companies X and Tesla. He was charged with making a serious terroristic threat. “I will be arriving in Texas where a war has begun on multiple fronts @X @Tesla,” he wrote in one post. In another post he said, “@JoeBiden @X @Telsa @Elonmusk, I plan to kill you all.”

According to court filings, Mr. McCauley’s wife called Rogers police after he announced he was leaving for Texas and would never return. According to his wife, he had left his mobile phone at home so that it could not be monitored.

The indictments allege that Mr. McCauley was stopped by Oklahoman law officers while traveling through the state on January 26. During the encounter, he informed the police officers that he wanted to talk to the President. When asked he said, “If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, wouldn’t you want to talk to the President?”

Additionally, the next morning, authorities were notified of a threatening call at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin. However, it is not clear whether the 31-year-old employee made the call or not.

Court records also say Mr. McCauley was stopped by police in Austin on Sunday afternoon. He reportedly informed officials that he intended to visit the Tesla Gigafactory in an attempt to talk to Mr Musk. According to CBS News, police arrested him.

In December 2022, the Tesla and SpaceX chief claimed that the risk of something bad happening to them or even literally getting shot is “pretty significant”. In a two-hour audio chat on Twitter Spaces, Mr Musk said he would “definitely” not be doing any open-air car parades.

“Frankly, the risk of something bad happening to me or even getting shot is quite high,” Elon Musk said. He added, “It’s not that hard to kill someone if you want to, so hopefully they won’t do it, and in the event luck smiles on me and it doesn’t happen… there’s definitely some risk there.” “
